POWER YOGA

Power Yoga classes can vary widely in form and content and are often considered to be the a typical embodiment of the modern approach to yoga. These classes are particular suited to those who come to yoga looking to enhance their physical fitness or those who enjoy regular gym or other forms of physical exercise. ALTR Power Yoga classes are intense and dynamic and are closely linked to the Ashtanga style of practice. These yoga classes can absolutely be used as strenuous physical workout. Classes will either provide a total body workout or teachers may choose to focus on a specific body parts of muscles groups. Alternatively the focus can be on a particular group of postures that build and are progressive in nature from the more basic, to the more advanced. The physically absorbing nature of the practice often results in rapid quietening of the mind whilst full focus goes into the intensity of the movement. The cardiovascular and physical effects of these classes are often noted rapidly by participants.
