Physiotherapy and Osteopathy

Physiotherapy

Our fully qualified and industry registered physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual  therapy,  education  and  advice. They are recognised by most private healthcare providers and therefore many treatments are covered by personal healthcare plans. They maintain health, dexterity and mobility for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease. The profession helps to encourage development and facilitate recovery, enabling people to stay in work while helping them remain independent for as long as possible. Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and takes a ‘whole person’ approach to health and wellbeing,  which includes your general lifestyle. At the core is the patient’s involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their treatment.

Physiotherapy helps with sudden injury, managing a long-term medical condition such as asthma or chronic pain, and in preparing for childbirth or a sporting event. In addition, our physios will use their knowledge and skills to improve a range of conditions associated with different systems of the body, such as:

  • Neurological (stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's)
  • Neuromusculoskeletal (back pain, whiplash associated disorder, sports injuries, arthritis)
  • Cardiovascular (chronic heart disease, rehabilitation after heart attack)
  • Respiratory (asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cystic fibrosis).

In providing an holistic approach to your treatment, our Physios can work closely in conjunction with our acupuncturist, GP, personal trainers or other healing practitioners to ensure that you receive the best possible package of care to achieve your objectives in the shortest possible timescale, returning you to full health and fitness as quickly as we possibly can.

Private health care and NHS referrals welcome.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and preventing health problems by moving, stretching and massaging a person's muscles and joints. The practice is based on the principle that the wellbeing of an individual depends on their bones, muscles, ligaments and connective tissue functioning smoothly together. Osteopaths use physical manipulation, stretching and massage with the aim of:

  • increasing the mobility of joints
  • relieving muscle tension
  • enhancing the blood supply to tissues
  • helping the body to heal

Our practitioners use a range of techniques, but not drugs or surgery. All of our Osteos are is registered and regulated, making them recognised practitioners for the purposes of most private health care plans. Our practitioners will work closely with your personal trainer, Physio or other complimentary health practitioner of GP to ensure an holistic end to end service to improve your prospects of a swift return to full fitness levels. Private health care and NHS referrals are welcome.
